Centre Head – Classic On Phone (COP)

Job Description:

As the Centre Head – Classic On Phone (COP) at HDFC Bank, you will be responsible for managing the VRM Desk, handling portfolios of eligible customers, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the Desk/Unit. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Target Achievement: Meet the unit’s targets and ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  2. Team Leadership: Build and lead a team of Team Managers, inspiring them to excel in areas of service, sales, and quality by setting an example and maintaining high levels of motivation.
  3. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers at all levels, primarily through world-class digital banking modes, to enhance their overall banking experience.
  4. Sales and Income Generation: Consistently achieve defined objectives, such as sales, income generation, and group product holding.
  5. Resource Allocation: Plan and balance resource allocation for optimal utilization and peak performance.
  6. Operations and Compliance: Ensure adherence to operations processes aimed at zero defect transaction processing and meeting audit and compliance guidelines.
  7. Business Expansion: Enhance business and income generation by building a balance and cross-selling appropriate products to portfolio customers.
  8. Floor Management: Maintain discipline and decorum on the floor in line with the bank’s guidelines and policies.
  9. Customer Service: Ensure world-class services are provided to customers, meeting their needs through the bank’s financial products.
  10. Training and Motivation: Manage and motivate staff, including training initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for the role of Centre Head – COP, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Graduation with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in people management, with exposure to handling service, quality, and sales at a vertical level.
  • Candidates from retail branch banking, phone banking, digital banking, or outbound sales will be given preference.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capability to inspire and drive a team towards achieving targets.
  • Excellent customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Sound knowledge of banking operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective resource allocation and planning skills for optimal performance.
  • Ability to drive sales and income generation through cross-selling and portfolio management.
  • Proficiency in digital banking platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
