Job Description:
As a Program Officer, you will play a vital role in our Women’s Livelihood and Entrepreneurship program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the program activities, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Micro-enterprise Support: Provide guidance and support to women entrepreneurs in developing and growing their micro-enterprises, including access to finance, market linkages, and business development services.
- Capacity Building: Design and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance the entrepreneurial and business management skills of women participants.
- Partnership Development: Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and financial institutions, to establish strategic partnerships and leverage resources for program implementation.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and effectiveness of the program, ensuring data collection and reporting.
- Advocacy and Awareness: Raise awareness about the importance of women’s economic empowerment and advocate for policy changes to create an enabling environment for women entrepreneurs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare timely reports, case studies, and success stories to showcase program achievements and lessons learned.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for the role of Program Officer, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in managing programs related to micro-enterprises, preferably with a focus on women’s livelihood and entrepreneurship.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by women entrepreneurs in accessing financial services and markets.
- Knowledge of microfinance, business development, and capacity-building initiatives for women.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and participants.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
