State Bank of India is inviting applications from physically fit Indian citizens for the positions of Armourer (reserved for Ex-servicemen/Ex-CAPF/AR only) and Control Room Operators (reserved for Ex-servicemen/State Fire Service Personnel/Ex-CAPF/AR only) in the clerical cadre (Specialist cadre).

Important Dates:

• Online Registration of Application: From 06.09.2023 to 05.10.2023
• Date of Online Test (Tentative): November/December, 2023
• Tentative Date of Downloading Call Letter for Online Test: 10 days before the exam date

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for the respective posts as of the specified date.
2. Applicants can apply for vacancies in only one state and can appear for the test once under this recruitment project.
3. Required documents include a brief resume, ID proof, age proof, educational qualification, technical qualification, etc.
4. Admission to the online test will be provisional pending verification of documents.
5. If a candidate is called for an interview and found not satisfying the eligibility criteria, they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
6. Candidates should regularly check the Bank’s website for updates and details (including the list of selected candidates). Call letters and advisories will be sent via email only.
7. All revisions/corrigendum (if any) will be posted on the Bank’s website.

For the Post of Armourers:

• Total Vacancies: 18
• States: West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Bihar

For the Post of Control Room Operators:

• Total Vacancies: 89
• States: Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Kerala, Maharashtra

Selection Process:

• The selection process comprises an online test (100 marks) and interview (25 marks).
• Minimum qualifying aggregate marks will be decided at the discretion of the Bank.
• In case of a low number of applications, the Bank reserves the right to select candidates through shortlisting and interviews.
• Written tests will be held online, tentatively in November/December 2023.

Remuneration: Selected candidates will be paid emoluments as applicable to Award staff under various rules/Awards/Settlements in force in the Bank from time to time.

2. Applicants should first scan their latest photograph and signature. The online application will not be registered unless these are uploaded as specified.
3. Fill the application carefully. If unable to fill in one go, the information can be saved for later completion. A provisional registration number and password will be generated.
4. After registering online, candidates are advised to take a printout of the system-generated online application forms.

Note: Mobile phones, pagers, calculators, or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the examination/interview premises. Candidates found guilty of misconduct will face severe consequences.
