Diploma Trainees:

Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year training period at any NTPC project’s EDC/RLI. During this period, they will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 24,000/- per month. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed in the payscale of W7 Grade.

Artisan Trainees/Assistant Material/Storekeeper Trainees:

Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year training period at any NTPC project’s EDC/RLI. During this period, they will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 21,500/- per month. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed in the payscale of W3 Grade.

Age Limit: The upper age limit is 38 years as of the last date of online application.

Qualification:

Diploma Trainees:

  • Electrical: Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Mechanical: Full-time regular Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • C&I: Full-time regular Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
  • Civil: Full-time regular Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. Relaxation for SC/ST/PWBD (where vacancies are identified) is pass marks.

ITI Trainees/Assistant Material/Storekeeper Trainees:

  • ITI Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic: Xth Pass + Full-time regular ITI course (approved by NCVT/SCVT) in the respective trade.
  • Asst Material/Storekeeper Trainee: NCTVT in storekeeping + English Typing 30 words per minute/150 keystrokes per minute OR Xth Pass + Full-time regular ITI course (approved by NCVT/SCVT) in (Fitter/Electrician/Electronics/Instrument Mechanic) + English Typing 30 words per minute/150 keystrokes per minute.

Desirable Qualification:

Proficiency in Computer Operation and Familiarization with MS Office.

Selection Process:

Diploma Trainees:

Candidates will undergo a 2-stage Online test:

  • Stage 1: Aptitude Test consisting of 120 questions covering General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning. This stage is qualifying in nature.
  • Stage 2: Technical Test consisting of 120 questions in the respective discipline for shortlisted candidates of stage 1. Offer of appointment will be based on merit of stage 2.

Artisan Trainees/Assistant Material/Storekeeper Trainees:

Candidates will undergo a single-stage, 2-part online test:

  • Part 1: Knowledge test with 70 multiple-choice questions on technical subject from relevant disciplines.
  • Part 2: Aptitude test with 50 multiple-choice questions covering English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.

  • Create and update MIS data and prepare regular reports.
  • Coordinate logistics for training, including accommodation and materials.

Office Attender:

  • Support day-to-day activities of the Institute under the guidance of the Director.

Watchman/Gardener:

Contract Period:

  • Casual Leave: 12 days per year

  • Maternity Leave: 90 days per child within a one-year contract after completing six months of service.
