Special Recruitment Drive for Diploma Trainees in NTPC Limited
NTPC Limited, a leading enterprise in India’s energy sector with an impressive installed capacity of 73,024 MW, is embarking on a special recruitment drive to fill up the Scheduled Tribe (ST) backlog vacancies for the post of Diploma Trainees. As part of this initiative, NTPC is inviting applications from qualified candidates with a Diploma in Engineering. This drive is specifically for its Kudgi Super Thermal Power Station located in Karnataka State.

Training, Emoluments & Placement:
Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year training period at any of NTPC’s sites/stations and will receive a consolidated stipend of Rs. 24,000/- per month. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed in the open pay scale of Rs. 24,000/-3%- (W7 grade).
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 30 years (inclusive of 05 Years Relaxation) as of the last date of application.
Qualification:
- Diploma Trainee (Electrical): Full-time regular Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering with pass marks.
- Diploma Trainee (C&I): Full-time regular Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering with pass marks. Note: Eligible candidates must possess a Full-time regular Diploma passed certificate on the date of application.
Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will undergo a two-stage Online Test (Computer Based Test).

1st stage Online Test:
- This stage includes an Online Aptitude Test covering General English, Quantitative aptitude and reasoning. The test duration is 2 hours. Each question carries 1 mark, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for wrong answers. The qualifying marks for this stage are 30%. Successful candidates will be shortlisted @ 1:10 for the 2nd stage.

2nd stage Online Test:
- In this stage, an Online Technical Test will be conducted in the respective discipline. The test duration is 2 hours. Similar marking schemes and qualifying marks apply.
Reservations and Relaxations:
- There is no application fee for this post.
- Reservations and relaxations for XSM / PwBD candidates will be as per Government guidelines.
- Specific relaxations for PwBD-ST candidates and land oustees of NTPC-Kudgi project belonging to the ST category.
Service Agreement Bond:
Selected candidates need to sign a service agreement bond of Rs. 50,000/- (plus GST) for SC/ST/Physically Challenged Person, committing to serve the company for a minimum of 3 years after training completion.
