We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Vice President – Credit & Operations.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Vice President – Credit & Operations will be responsible for the following:

• Review borrower submissions and perform analysis of the information submitted.
• Analyze lending opportunities, including loans to self-employed individuals and corporates.
• Conduct detailed analysis of borrower(s) income tax returns and bank statements to assess creditworthiness.
• Gather additional information as required to make initial decisions on credit requests.
• Stay updated on market trends and maintain a network of referral sources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant or MBA Finance.
• General knowledge of loan underwriting, documentation, collateral analysis, and financial statements.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Positive attitude, willingness to work, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated responsiveness, judgment, maturity, integrity, and time management skills.

Desired Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• 10+ years of experience in Credit Underwriting Retail Asset.
• Deep experience and knowledge of retail financial services, including Housing and LAP (Loan Against Property).
• Strong management and leadership skills.
